Reaching Pisa by flight

  • Florence Airport "Amerigo Vespucci" is located close to center of Florence, at a distance of about 85 Km from Pisa. There are bus connections to "Firenze Santa Maria Novella" railway station, from where frequent connections to "Pisa centrale" station are available.

When reserving your ticket, we suggest you to double check with your agency whether your flight actually lands in Pisa Airport or in Florence Airport (sometimes, tickets generically indicate Pisa/Florence airport).

How to reach the Residence "Le Benedettine" from the Airport":

The easiest way to reach Residence "Le Benedettine" is by Taxi.
The alternative is to go first from the Airport to "Pisa centrale" railway station by Pisa Mover shuttle. The ride is 5 minutes long. The price, as of today (January 2020) is 5 euro.
The Residence "Le Benedettine" is 800 meters away from "Pisa centrale" railway station.


How to reach the Mathematics Department from the Residence "Le Benedettine":

The Mathematics Department is a 20 minutes walk away from Residence "Le Benedettine".
Otherwise, it is possible to take the bus line 4 from the bus stop called "Crispi 2" (which is less than 300 meters from the Residence), up to the bus stop "Buonarroti 2", which is right in front of the Mathematics Department.
